Dear Friends, Finding the right words to say is tough.. really tough. Especially when you don’t want to be considered a tool or ungrateful just by a quick impulse of honesty (it’s make you not want to be a honest man anymore). I’ve been on the road for 95 consecutive days on a 130 day tour living on coffee, weed and toasties in Vans, Trains, Airplanes, Hostels and Fiats. Giving up a “normal” lifestyle to entertain the inner seems of America and Europe (even if they didn’t speak a lick of English). Don’t get me wrong, I am lucky and fortunate that I get to do exactly what I want to do but fuck.. I’m exhausted. Have you ever looked yourself in the mirror and asked, “Am I the person I want to be at this present moment?” It’s pretty hard to spread happiness if you can’t be happy with yourself. We seem to forget to think about the word “ME” sometimes. “How am I doing? ” ,”Am I comfortable now?” We spread ourselves so thin sometimes trying to make others happy that we don’t leave any for ourselves just in case we need a pick me up. Maybe that’s why we sometimes feel so hungry; we forgot what made us full in the first place. We are like a herd of day dreaming sheep, following a road somebody else paved for us. We need to stop dreaming about what we enjoy and pave our own road. If this is ...

Dear Friends, Lately, I’ve been really into going back to memories from the past (the ones i remember atleast) to see how far I’ve come and what I feel about them today. If it’s listening to the tunes I listened when I was young, as Something Corporate and Boys II Men are blasting in the van (my band hates me right now for it) or Facebook creeping old lovers and crushes (sorry to all the victims for the random likes on your page when you haven’t spoken to me in 5 years or more..) Call it boredom, call it loneliness, call it being horny, call it a life crisis (shit.. Is this a life crisis?!?!) People have always told me since I was in grade school that I have an “old soul” (like I’ve played this game called life before). I’ve always felt like I’ve known the answers and if I didn’t, I would ask this old black man “Lenard” who sits in a rocking chair near the back of my rib cage what I should do. He only spoke back when I stopped these neurotic solutions created by my paranoid brain (I call him Woody). But as I get older, his voice is getting softer, and now I have to figure some of these questions out all by myself. (shit.. this is a quarter life crisis!) So this what I got from it so far, Life is all about the present. We can try to relight some candles from ...

Dear Friends, I’m tired and beat up. My body hurts from all the Jaegermeister, PBR and 4 Hour sleep cycles. My Afro is starting to look like a Sheep’s ass, and it smells like a bong that was left in a sweaty high school locker room all summer. Also, I think Ernie and I got an infection in my eye from sleeping on another dirty couch last night (I hope it’s not pink eye). I kind of feel like and probably look like Rocky (only with a JewFro) when he first fought Mr. T. Beat up but still smiling and it got me thinking.. Whatever you’re fighting for.. It might be Love, Security, Happiness, Freedom or (in my case) that next great performance.. Don’t ever stop. Yes, there will be road bumps on your journey and Yes, you will fall on your ass (way) more then once and Yes, you might have to do it alone or you may see your peers reach the finish line before you but never give up. Fight til you can’t fight anymore. Give it all you can and eventually you will reach the finish line as well. It’s not how fast we get there just as long as we get there. Don’t let anything stop you from that. Appreciate the moment so we can all stay in the moment and live free. Stay Thirsty for Life and it will never get dull (trust me.. I mean have you smelled my Fro?) Andy

Dear Friends, Its official, after 5 years I’m a semi professional nomad. I was in one of my favorite places in the world 2 weekends ago with my best friends playing music, sharing laughs, comparing road stories with the Ben Miller Band/Mountain Sprout, and freaking out with my fans for my 5th Year Anniversary of being on the road. And with time to think in the van while heading to our next gig, I look back at the memories of the year. Even through all the wonderful things that have happened in my career the last 365 days, like opening for the amazing Joe Walsh, getting recognize in Europe or even gigging at the Sundance Film Festival while free styling with Gary Clark Jr and DeerTick, I would still have to say that it was this moment, (telling stories and) sharing my anniversary with my band, the Ben Miller Boys and friends in Fayetteville, AR that took the cake and made me realize I finally made it through the hump. Im 1,000+ miles away from where I grew up but With the love and support of my friends and fans, home doesn’t feel so far away anymore. My dreams are unfolding right in front of my eyes and it’s everything I’ve ever imagined… (besides Doug Dicharry’s body odor after a couple hour gig) Entertaining and seeing people genuinely happy with what we share is what makes my soul happy. (As I think of the time when Ernie Fell off the ...
