Let me tell you friends, This European tour has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever witnessed in my life. If you have the chance to get lost for a couple weeks and see Europe please do. There’s so much culture and soul running around the streets that you can build an experience anywhere you go.

I started my tour In Paris, playing at the European Film Festival with the Access Film & Music Showcase. I was a little nervous at first because I was going alone and I had a band from Holland that was supposed to be backing me up with myself never hearing there band. What I didn’t realize was that at the end of this adventure, this holland backup band would become my new closest friends. That’s the thing I love about life, if you just go with the flow the universe always finds a way to work itself out for the better.

We played 2 days at the movie cinema then the closing party on a boat that cruised around the Canal through the whole city of Paris. I felt like I was in a Parisian Woody Allen movie. What an experience..

Then we hoped in the van for a 12 hour drive to play in Zermatt, Switzerland for 4 days splitting the bill with Chicago Mike. Zermatt is a small town right at the bottom of the Matterhorn. I always thought the Matterhorn was just a mountain that Mr. Walt Disney created for his lovely theme park but I was wrong. This town is beautiful, the people are so welcoming and the food is top notch.

They really appreciate musicians here as they basically treat you like royalty by putting you up in 4 star hotels and gourmet meals I would only see on the Food Network. For a gypsy like myself that lives a majority of his life in a van nowadays, I was overwhelmed with the hospitality the Swiss gave the band and I. The shows have been packed every night and the european response has been incredible to my style of a blues dance party. I don’t deserve this life I live.

I’m now off to Amsterdam to play the Xinix this weekend. I will keep you updated with how that experience goes as well. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this European adventure, it’s to follow your dreams until you see them become a reality even if it takes you your whole life. Because I’ve always wanted to get lost in Europe and live by my wits, and just because I took the extra effort, believed in what I do and who I am, I’m seeing what I’ve always dreamed off. If this suburban kid can do it, so can you.

Until next time keep your hearts full and your minds without a worry.
